From the lush highlands of Kiambu, Kenya, this Peaberry selection from Spike Farm delivers the depth and sweetness that make Kenyan coffees world-renowned. Grown at 1930 meters above sea level, this lot comes from a 12-hectare farm managed by Moses, who simply says the farm’s name was chosen because “the owner liked it” — a story as memorable as the coffee itself.
Planted with SL28 and Ruiru 11 varieties, the cherries are handpicked, pulped on-site, fermented for 72 hours, washed, and dried on raised beds — a meticulous process that yields exceptional clarity and complexity.
In the cup, expect a dense, syrupy body layered with raw sugar sweetness, subtle cranberry and orange zest, and a finish of spiced tea and tamarind. The result is a beautifully balanced, refined Kenyan coffee with a comforting warmth that lingers long after the last sip.
